Overview

One of the core capabilities of the Outreach Agent is its ability to source and prepare prospects for outreach without manual work. When you create an Agent using the Auto targeting type, the Agent uses a natural language query to find prospects that match your defined persona. It validates contact data, researches each profile, and prepares prospects for personalized outreach across email and LinkedIn.

Where Prospects Come From

Prospects are sourced from CallSine’s contact database, which contains over 120 million verified B2B contacts. Each record may include:

  • A validated LinkedIn profile

  • Company information

  • Role-specific details

  • When available, a verified email address

The database is updated regularly to maintain accuracy and compliance. Every time the Agent adds a contact to your campaign, it performs an additional email validation to prevent sending to invalid or risky addresses.

How Prospect Sourcing Works

Step 1 — Defining the Target Persona

When creating an Agent with the "Auto" targeting type in the Campaign Wizard, you provide your target persona using natural language. For example:

“VPs of Sales at software companies with more than $10M in ARR located in the northeast”

The Agent interprets this input and selects the appropriate filters to search the database.

If essential details are missing—such as industry or title—the Agent will pause and prompt you to clarify. This prevents sourcing a list that is too broad or misaligned.

Step 2 — Creating the Prospect List

After the Agent is created, it builds a list of prospects using the selected filters.

If the initial list is too small or not aligned with the persona, the Agent automatically adjusts filters to create a viable list while preserving your original intent.

Step 3 — Enriching Prospects

Once a sufficient list is assembled, the Agent enriches each contact. Enrichment checks for:

  • Fit with the defined persona

  • Completion of required data fields

  • Eligibility for email and LinkedIn outreach

Step 4 — Prospect Research

After enrichment, the Agent performs a final research step. It pulls details from LinkedIn profiles and company sites to support personalized outreach. Additional signals may include industry context or public activity.

When research is complete, prospects appear in the People tab. You can click on any contact to view their profile and example outreach.

After Prospect Sourcing

After sourcing is complete, the Agent is ready for review. You can:

  • View the list of selected prospects

  • Generate example outreach

  • Make edits before launching the campaign

Once launched, the Agent moves into its daily operating mode.

Prospect Sourcing in Daily Workflow

After launch, the Agent continues sourcing every day. It uses the same logic and targeting filters set during creation.

Each day, the Agent:

  • Brings in prospects to match your Daily Volume setting

  • Enriches and validates each record

  • Performs research for personalized messaging

  • Adds approved prospects to the campaign and sends scheduled outreach

  • Checks for updates to the persona through Guidance

Summary

With Auto targeting, the Agent builds a targeted prospect list based on your natural language persona. It validates contact data, performs research, and prepares prospects for personalized outreach across multiple channels. Sourcing continues daily, ensuring your campaign always has new, qualified contacts to reach.
