Overview
A Connections Agent uses your existing LinkedIn network as its lead source. Instead of pulling from a database or imported CSV, it identifies relevant people you already know and sends personalized outreach. The Agent starts slowly due to LinkedIn profile view limits, but becomes more efficient over time as more of your network is researched and ready for outreach.
Create a Connections Agent
Create a new Outreach Agent in the Campaign Wizard.
On the Targeting screen, choose Connections.
On the Instructions page, describe who the Agent should contact. This prevents outreach from going to irrelevant personal contacts. Useful details include titles, industries, geography, and company size.
Once the Agent is created, it will begin reviewing your network and pulling qualified prospects into the campaign.

The Agent applies two layers of filtering.
ICP Fit
The Agent only selects people who match the audience description you entered during setup.
Messaging History
If you have already exchanged messages with a Connection, the Agent factors that into whether outreach is appropriate and how the message should be written. This allows the Agent to send personalized, context-aware outreach instead of generic first-touch messages.
Personalized Outreach
When writing outreach, the Agent uses your Instructions and Style Guide, prospect research (LinkedIn profile and company details), and any past conversation history.
Outreach is tailored for each prospect. If you have never spoken before, the Agent writes a first-touch message. If you have, the Agent adapts tone and content to match the prior interaction.
What to Expect Over Time
At the start, volume is low. The Agent can only view and research a limited number of profiles per day, and not every LinkedIn Connection will match your ICP.
As more of your network is researched:
Follow-up messages no longer require profile views
Outreach volume increases
New Connections are added continuously
Once your full network has been processed, future Connections campaigns start faster because research has already been completed.
