How to Review Your Outreach Agent Before Launch

This guide walks through how to preview what your Agent will send and make changes if needed.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

The best part of a Outreach Agent is that it runs independently—finding leads, writing outreach, and booking meetings without constant oversight. But before you hand over the reins, it's important to confirm that your Agent is aligned with your voice and goals.

This guide shows you how to review what your Agent is doing and make adjustments before launch.

1. Understand the Agent Build Process

After completing the Campaign Wizard, your Agent begins building itself using the instructions you provided. During this time, some sections of the Campaign Editor (like the People tab) may appear empty. That’s normal—the Agent is still setting itself up.

To monitor this process in real time:

  • Go to the Activity tab of the Campaign Editor

  • Watch the Agent run through tasks like creating strategy, sourcing leads, and generating outreach

[Understanding your Activity Logs → How to Read the Activity Logs After Creating Your Agent]

2. Review Example Outreach

Reviewing outreach before launch ensures your Agent reflects your brand, tone, and goals.

Once your Agent has sourced its first prospects:

  1. Go to the People tab in the Campaign Editor

  2. Select a prospect

  3. Generate the following example outreach:

    • First-in-Thread Email – Your primary cold email

    • Follow-up Email – A short, reply-focused message

    • LinkedIn InMail – If LinkedIn is one of your selected channels

This lets you see personalized outreach based on your campaign inputs and the Agent’s research.

3. Make Campaign Changes (Before Launch)

If you'd like to update the Agent's messaging, targeting, or tone, you can make edits before launch.

Option 1: Add Guidance

Use the Add Guidance button or go to the Guidance tab to add natural-language instructions.

When adding new instructions to your Agent, we recommend entering each instruction as a separate piece of Guidance.

This helps the Agent:

  • Ingest instructions more clearly — avoiding confusion when multiple directions are bundled together.

  • Apply updates more effectively — ensuring each piece of Guidance is recognized and factored into the campaign strategy.

You can adjust:

  • Objectives

  • Persona

  • Messaging tone

  • Strategy details

Note:

If your guidance conflicts with core campaign settings (e.g., changing the objective from demos to in-person meetings), the Agent will prompt a review before applying changes.

Option 2: Edit the Style Guide

To change tone, formality, or structure:

  1. Go to Settings > Style Guide

  2. Edit how your Agent writes each message type:

    • Initial Emails

    • Follow-ups

    • Subject Lines

    • LinkedIn Messages or InMail

[More on refining voice → How to Use the Style Guide]

Option 3: Edit Inputs in the Settings Menu

If you want to make more intensive edits to your Agent, you can update the original inputs you provided during the Campaign Wizard. These can be accessed through the tabs in the Settings menu:

  • Materials: Add, remove, or upload new materials that the Agent will use to generate Content Strategies and outreach.

  • Mail Accounts: Change which email or LinkedIn accounts the Agent uses to send outreach.

The below tabs can only be edited prior to the Agent being launched:

  • Objectives: Update the goals your outreach is driving toward. You can also add a calendar link here to include in your outreach.

  • Channels: Select which channels (email, LinkedIn, SMS, etc.) your Agent will use to send outreach.

  • Strategy: Review and edit the Agent-generated strategy that was created from your Campaign Wizard inputs.

  • Instructions: Update the initial instructions you gave the Agent.

  • Filters (Auto campaigns only): Edit the targeting persona your Agent uses to find prospects.

Option 4: Edit Content Strategies

You can also manage your Agent’s Content Strategies directly:

  • Deactivate strategies you don’t want used by toggling them off.

  • Edit the text of an existing strategy directly within its card.

  • Generate New Strategies if you’d like the Agent to create fresh options.

Note: If your strategies consistently feel off-target, review the Materials assigned in Settings > Materials. Since Materials are the primary source for building strategies, updating them often resolves strategy issues.

4. Review Your Changes

After editing, you should test the output again.

We recommend using the People tab for faster, iterative testing:

  1. Select a prospect

  2. Generate new example outreach

  3. Check if your changes were applied correctly

  4. Repeat if needed

5. Launch Your Outreach Agent

Once you're satisfied with the outreach:

  1. Click Launch Agent in the top bar of the Campaign Editor

  2. A CallSine team member will review and finalize your campaign

  3. You’ll be notified by email and in-app once your Agent goes live
