Overview
Suppression Lists let you exclude specific email addresses or domains from all outreach sent by your Agents. When a prospect’s email matches an entry in an active Suppression List, the Agent will skip that prospect entirely—even if they otherwise match your target persona. This is useful for honoring opt-outs, protecting existing customer relationships, or meeting legal and contractual requirements. You can create multiple Suppression Lists and choose whether each one applies to all campaigns in your account or only to specific ones.
Accessing Suppression Lists
Suppression Lists are located in the Settings area of CallSine. To get there:
Click the gear icon in the left menu bar.
Select Suppression Lists from the Settings menu.
The Suppression Lists page shows all lists you’ve created. Each list appears as its own row, with action icons on the right side.
Creating a Suppression List
Each Suppression List needs a name before you can upload entries to it. To create a new list:
Click + Create List in the top right of the Suppression Lists page.
Enter a Name for the list. This field is required.
Optionally, add a Description to note what the list is used for.
Confirm to create the list.
Once created, the list appears as a new row on the Suppression Lists page. It will be empty until you import a CSV file.
Importing Contacts via CSV
After creating a list, you can populate it by uploading a CSV file. CallSine will read each row in the file and add it as a suppressed email address or domain. To import contacts:
Locate the list row on the Suppression Lists page.
Click the Import CSV icon (a document with an up arrow) on the right side of the row.
In the pop-up, select your CSV file.
Choose an Entry Type Detection method (see below).
Confirm the upload.
After the upload is complete, you’ll be returned to the Suppression Lists page.
Entry Type Detection
When uploading a CSV, you can choose how CallSine interprets the entries in your file:
Auto-detect – CallSine automatically identifies whether each entry is an email address or a domain. This is the default and works for most files.
All Emails – Treats every entry in the file as an email address.
All Domains – Treats every entry as a domain (e.g., example.com). Any prospect with an email at that domain will be suppressed.
Supported CSV formats:
A single column of email addresses or domains
A column named “email”, “domain”, or “value”
Duplicate entries in your CSV are automatically skipped. You do not need to clean your file before uploading.
Managing Your Suppression Lists
Each list row on the Suppression Lists page includes a set of icons for managing the list. Here’s what each one does:
Icon | Action |
Eye icon | View all entries currently in the list. |
Gear icon | Configure which campaigns the list applies to. You can apply it to all campaigns or select specific ones. |
Import CSV icon | Upload a CSV file to add entries to the list. |
Trash can icon | Permanently delete the list and all of its entries. |
Viewing Entries
Click the eye icon on a list’s row to see all of the email addresses and domains it contains. Use this to confirm that your CSV uploaded correctly or to audit who is being suppressed.
Configuring Campaign Scope
Click the gear icon on a list’s row to choose which campaigns it applies to:
All Campaigns – The list applies to every campaign in your account, including any you create in the future.
Specific Campaigns – You choose which campaigns the list applies to.
If you select All Campaigns, new Agents you create after configuring the list will also respect the suppression automatically. This is the recommended setting for global opt-out and compliance lists.
Deleting a List
Click the trash can icon on a list’s row to permanently delete it. Deleting a list removes all of its entries and immediately stops applying it to any campaigns. This action cannot be undone.
