Overview

By default, Outreach Agents send messages automatically. Once your Agent is live and has active Sender Accounts, it runs on its own — sourcing prospects, generating outreach, and sending messages without needing approval.

If you want more control, you can switch to Manual Send. In Manual Send, no message will be sent until you review and approve it inside the app.

How Auto Send Works

Auto Send is the default setting for every Outreach Agent. When Auto Send is enabled, the Agent:

  • Sources prospects

  • Validates data

  • Generates outreach

  • Sends messages across email and LinkedIn on its own schedule

Most users operate in Auto Send. Once the Agent is live, your only responsibility is managing replies.

To confirm Auto Send is active:

  1. Open the Campaign Editor

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Mail Accounts

  4. Make sure Auto Send is checked

When Auto Send is on, all eligible outreach will be sent automatically during the Agent’s hourly run.

Switching to Manual Send

You can change the sending mode at any time. Manual Send gives you full review and approval before anything is sent.

To enable Manual Send:

  1. Open the Campaign Editor

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Mail Accounts

  4. Uncheck Auto Send

When Manual Send is enabled:

  • No messages will send automatically

  • All new outreach appears in your approval queue

  • You must click Send or Schedule for each message

To switch back, re-check Auto Send. On its next run, the Agent will resume sending automatically.

When Manual Send Is Useful

Manual Send is helpful when you want to approve each outreach touch individually. If you prefer hands-off sending, leave Auto Send enabled after initial review.
